Corrections Policy
Accuracy matters more to us than being first. If something on this site is wrong, here is how to tell us and what we do next.
How to report an error
Use our contact form and select an editorial inquiry. Include the page URL, the statement you believe is inaccurate and, where possible, a source. Reports about voice, likeness or copyright should follow our copyright and takedown process instead.
How we review reports
The editorial team checks the claim against primary sources and our own records. If we cannot verify a statement, we revise or remove it rather than leaving it in place.
How corrections appear
Minor fixes — typos, broken links, formatting — are made silently. Corrections that change the meaning of a page are noted on the page along with an updated last-reviewed date.
Content that changes over time
Copyright rules, platform policies and chart methodology change. When rules move, we update the affected page and its date rather than publishing a separate contradicting page.
Response times
We aim to acknowledge editorial reports within a few business days. Complex questions involving legal or rights review can take longer, and we will say so when that happens.
Report an issue through our contact page. See also our editorial standards.
